Harrison slams Graham’s continued crusade to cut unemployment relief
Columbia, S.C. — Jaime Harrison, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, released the following statement after DHEC officials announced that South Carolina eclipsed 1,000 daily new cases of coronavirus.
“Today marks a grim milestone,” Harrison said. “Cases are spiking to record highs in every corner of South Carolina, and it’s clear that our economy won’t be truly healthy until our people are healthy. Some re-opened businesses are closing again, and far too many South Carolinians remain unemployed. South Carolinians are desperate for relief and a Senator who puts us first. Instead, Lindsey Graham is fighting to cut unemployment relief for over half a million South Carolinians. Clearly, Lindsey Graham has changed and South Carolina is paying the price.”
