Columbia, S.C. — Jaime Harrison for U.S. Senate raised over $1 million in donations yesterday alone, as new polling yesterday from Quinnipiac University showed a tied race between Jaime Harrison and Sen. Lindsey Graham.
“This poll reflects what Jaime hears from voters every day: After 25 years in Washington, Lindsey Graham no longer represents South Carolina values and priorities,” campaign manager Zack Carroll said. “This campaign is fueled by grassroots donations from all 46 counties of the state – from average, hardworking South Carolinians who want a Senator who will once again put them first. The momentum is on this movement’s side, and every donation helps bring us closer to the goal of restoring hope to every corner of the state.”
Harrison outraised Graham in the first two FEC quarters of 2020, and raised more in August than the Graham campaign raised in all of the second quarter.
Quinnipiac University released a poll yesterday showing Harrison and Graham tied at 48 percent each ahead of the November election. The poll shows that Harrison has a higher favorability rating, and that voters believe Harrison is the candidate who is more honest and cares for average people in South Carolina.
